Dr. Xiaoduan Sun

With a distinguished career in transportation safety, Dr. Xiaoduan Sun brings decades of research expertise to the project. As a recognized leader in analyzing traffic safety data and developing evidence-based interventions, Dr. Sun has contributed to reducing roadway fatalities and enhancing driver education programs across Louisiana. Her insights into transportation systems and impaired driving trends are vital in shaping effective prevention strategies.

Dr. Xiaoduan Sun

 A specialist in educational psychology and DUI/DWI intervention programs, Dr. Scott Smith is dedicated to understanding the behavioral factors that contribute to impaired driving. With extensive experience implementing programs like the CARS Screening, Dr. Smith combines psychological research with real-world solutions, ensuring individuals receive tailored support to address both mental health challenges and risky behaviors.

Farooq Azam Khanzada, M.S.

A graduate research assistant in Civil Engineering, pursuing a PhD at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His work focuses on traffic safety, with recent projects addressing older road user crashes and the effectiveness of red-light enforcement cameras. Farooq has presented his research at reputable national conferences and has experience applying data analysis and machine learning techniques to identify crash risk factors. He is also actively involved in student organizations, contributing to academic and community initiatives.
